    • The Lecceto Community was established at Brookvale, Sydney in 1999. Lecceto is an Augustinian Lay Community for young people aged 20 to 35 yrs. There young adults come together for a year with a focus on community living and service in the spirit of St Augustine. Applications to join this community usually occur around October. Members of the community continue work and study, but also take on the challenges, commitment and enjoyment of living together in a Christian community. Community life is shared with the Augustinian religious community at Brookvale including meals, prayer and liturgies. http://www.augustinians.org.au/laygroups/community.html

Service towards the wider community takes place on both a group and individual level. There are opportunities to participate in prayer times, faith sharing, discussion and social activities. No unrealistic demands are made. Members also contribute towards the living expenses of the community.
