The History of Our Library

Holy Spirit Parish Borrowing Library was established in response to our Parish Pastoral Plan, developed in 1997.

Production began in October 1997, with the initial preparation team consisting of Fr Peter Wieneke O.S.A., Lucy Grasso, Lyn Jennings and Frances Schembri. After almost six (6) months of preparation, our library was ready for use by parishioners.

The Library was blessed by Fr Paul Maloney O.S.A. on Sunday 14th March, 1998 and has been successfully in use since that date.

Our valued resources have been acquired via parish funds set aside for this purpose and some donations of both books and money.

Currently, Fr Peter Wieneke O.S.A. is responsible for resource acquisitions and the Library is maintained by Vicki Micallef and Sue Oram.
